چکیده

Objective: The purpose of the study was to establish validity abdominal evaluation lower uterine segment (LUS) thickness in patients having a previous cesarean section (CS) predicting rupture, and evaluate if there is any effect number surgeries on adverse maternal perinatal outcomes.
Materials methods: A prospective case-control carried out between December 2017 June 2018 Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Education Research Hospital. 555 were classified into three groups; Group 1: one CS, 2: two 3: more than CS). Ultrasonographic measurements LUS, intraoperative findings and, pregnancy outcomes assessed.
Results: LUS group 2 significantly less other groups (p=0.022). feeling pain 2, when compared with (p=0.019). Pregnancy interval only parameter that had significant predictivity for 1(#CS=2) 3 (#CS≥4) (p=0.042, p=0.021, respectively). In (#CS=3), age, subcutaneous adipose tissue found have high (p=0.012, p≤0.001, p=0.007, respectively).
Conclusion: Measurement who can be used risk assessment management. It non-invasive, reliable easily applicable method. Standardization measurement technique necessity.

Ultrasonographic evaluation of lower uterine segment thickness in patients of previous cesarean section.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate by ultrasonography, the lower uterine segment thickness of women with a previous cesarean delivery and determine a critical thickness above which safe vaginal delivery is predictable. METHODS A prospective observational study of 71 antenatal women with previous cesarean delivery and 50 controls was carried out. Transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasonography were used in...

Transvaginal Ultrasonographic Measurement of Lower Uterine Segment in Term Pregnant Patients with Previous Cesarean Section

Background: With an aim to reduce the rates of repeat cesarean section in women with a previous scar, prediction of scar rupture or dehiscence is important. If we could predict the risk of rupture by measuring the scar thickness closer to term, we could pursue a trial of scar safely. Aims: To evaluate the use of ultrasound measured thickness of lower uterine segment as one of the predictors of ...

Sonographic evaluation of the lower uterine segment in patients with previous cesarean delivery.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the appearance of the lower uterine segment (LUS) in pregnant women with previous cesarean delivery and to compare the LUS thickness with that in women with unscarred uteri. METHODS In a prospective study, sonographic examination was performed on 53 pregnant women with previous cesarean delivery (cesarean group), 40 nulliparas (nullip-control), and 40 women who had 1 or ...

Measurements of the Lower Uterine Segment at Term in Women with Previous Cesarean Delivery

Purpose: To evaluate the accuracy of sonographic measurements of the lower uterine segment (LUS) thickness at term in predicting uterine scar defects in women with previous Cesarean delivery (CD). Methods: Eighty-nine pregnant women who underwent CD between 37 and 41 weeks of gestation from 2013 to 2015 were enrolled in this study and divided into two groups. Group A consisted of women with pre...

Sonographic measurement of lower uterine segment thickness to predict uterine rupture during a trial of labor in women with previous Cesarean section: a meta-analysis.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the accuracy of antenatal sonographic measurement of lower uterine segment (LUS) thickness in the prediction of risk of uterine rupture during a trial of labor (TOL) in women with a previous Cesarean section (CS). METHODS PubMed and EMBASE were searched to identify articles published on the subject of sonographic LUS measurement and occurrence of a uterine defect after d...
